I am a native New Yorker, born and raised in the Saranac and Cadyville area. I transplanted to Texas in 1991. Genealogy first started for me when my only daughter brought home a project in middle school, which entailed creating a family tree. Quickly, I realized how little I knew about my ancestral ties. Thus, I caught the genie bug. I have been doing genealogy for about 12 years. The French Connections website has been operating for about 10 years. I have one daughter, and three fantastic grandchildren, who besides genealogy, keep me active. Other hobbies include writing, reading, quilting and crochet, just to name a few.
